Shenzhen TV gets HK channel

Hong Kong's i-Cable Communications announced an agreement to broadcast one of its channels in the border city of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The company said the deal marked the first time a Hong Kong channel will be carried in full on a mainland network. Under the deal i-Cable's Horizon Channel will be broadcast on Shenzhen Television Station's network. In exchange, i-Cable will carry Shenzhen TV's satellite channel on its own Hong Kong cable platform. The company said the deal would more than double its advertising viewer base for the channel, adding Shenzhen TV's 800,000 viewers to i-Cable's 650,000 subscribers in Hong Kong.
