On September 19, Sheraton Suzhou Hotel & Towers held the opening ceremony for a Malaysian Food Festival with guest chefs from Malaysia to ensure the cuisine is truly Malaysian.
During the ceremony, Mr. Edzuar Zar Bin Ayob Azari, Tourism Director of Malaysia Consulate Shanghai Office and Ms. Wu Min, The International Promotion Agent of Suzhou Tourism Bureau delivered speeches.
Neil McDonald, the General Manager of Sheraton Suzhou Hotel & Towers, announced the Starwood signing of its 100th hotel in China.
This came with the signing of the Sheraton Beijing Dongcheng Hotel.
Starwood was the first international hotel chain to enter China when the Great Wall Beijing Sheraton Hotel opened in 1985,
Starwood today is the largest international upscale hotel company in China and continues to grow with the expansion of its brands.
It current brands include Sheraton, Westin, Le Meridien, St. Regis, Luxury Collection, aloft, Four Points by Sheraton and W hotels in established and emerging cities as well as resort destinations.
