Siemens PLM Software, a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, will make an in-kind software grant with a commercial value of US$36 million to Wuyi University. The in-kind investment, provided through the Siemens PLM Software’s GO PLM, is the first in Guangdong Province.
This is not, perhaps, as totally altruistic as it seems. The in-kind grant of NX software, Siemens PLM Software’s digital product development solution, will bolster the university’s engineering curriculum and will support a new dedicated NX training center. And will produce a lot of graduates with expertise on the company’s software.
Approximately 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students as well as local enterprise professionals will have access to the engineering software and student/instructor training as well as an NX certification program.
