Sino-French car JV rebounds

Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co Ltd, the Sino-French car joint venture, said it sold 72,500 vehicles in the first half of this year, up 54.9% from a year ago. Buoyed by the better-than-expected results, the JV expects to sell 135,000 vehicles this year, up from its previous target of 115,000 units. The company also said the venture will become profitable this year.
