China and Germany have launched an inter-governmental
institute to develop software.
A 30-member joint research team will study
and develop software programs for a range of industries, including
telecommunications.
The institute, jointly funded by the two governments,
will bid for China's national high-technology projects as well as European government
initiatives and projects in the private sector.
