Sinotrans forms logistical pact

The Shanghai branch of the stateowned freight forwarder Sinotrans has joined forces with TransOceanic Shipping, the international logistics management company. From April the two companies will transport 1m tonnes of equipment to the huge BASF-YPS plant in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. The project is due to begin operations in 2004.

TransOceanic will handle the offshore part of the project and Sinotrans will handle the onshore aspects. There is a combined project team, although TransOceanic will manage the entire process.
