Deciding against setting up a plant in Shenzhen, Czech Republic-based carmaker Skoda is now reportedly finalizing details on a manufacturing joint venture in Shanghai with China FAW Group to make mid-priced Octavia sedans. Czech trade officials said the company sells only 2,000 cars a year as exports to China now, although Skodas account for 13% of CR exports worldwide.
