Sociology professor Lu Xueyi on China's economy and society

Lu Xueyi, professor of sociology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, discussing the lag between social and economic development:
"Today, the social and economic structure are uncoordinated. The social structure seriously lags behind the economic structure, which generates many social problems. Our studies suggest that China’s social structure lags behind its economic structure by about 15 years."
