Sohu says no chance of appeal

Sohu.com said offending marketing activity that caused China Mobile to suspend services enabling Sohu to offer photo messaging facilities to users was triggered inadvertently by a spam. CEO Charles Zhang said by the time the company realized what had happened, the damage was done. He said it was unfortunate the problem should occur just as the government had launched another of its Internet clean-up campaigns, but said he saw no grounds for Sohu to appeal the suspension because of strict agreements between the two companies covering unsolicited marketing.
