Space mission on target

In mid-September, China said that preparations for the launch of its first manned spacecraft were going extremely smoothly and that the blast-off would take place within the next three months. This was in line with the Minister of Science and Technology's undertaking that the launch would take place before the end of the year.

People's Dailylater said that the launch of Shenzhou V would happen as early as this month, probably with one crew member.
