Starbucks (SBUX.NASDAQ) announced major management changes Thursday that will fortify its China and Asia Pacific regional team, Reuters reported. The company, which has approximately 3,300 cafes in China and Asia Pacific and plans to add 600 more, promoted John Culver to group president of the China and Asia-Pacific region, while appointing Jeff Hansberry to Culver’s former position as president of the China and Asia-Pacific region. Hansberry was previously in charge of channel development for consumer packaged goods and emerging brands, which are now part of Culver’s responsibilities. Jinlong Wang will take the position of chairman of Starbucks China and senior vice president of business development.
