State Grid Shanghai's general manager detained by corruption watchdog

The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced Wednesday that the general manager of State Grid’s Shanghai branch, Feng Jun, is under investigation, South China Morning Post reported. Sources within the Shanghai branch said Feng was taken away by anti-graft investigators in Beijing Tuesday when he was about to board a flight back to Shanghai following a meeting. Feng was previously the general manger of State Grid’s Jiangsu branch and moved to Shanghai in 2011. He was selected as a National People’s Congress delegate last year, and his last public appearance was at a company meeting on October 17.
