Steelmaker to exit Beijing 2010

Aiming to stem the capital's chronic pollution problem, China ordered Shougang Group to phase out smelting operations in Beijing and cease steel production by year-end 2010, state media reported. Shougang will relocate most production facilities to Hebei province, leaving only cold-rolled steel production in Beijing.
