Stop looking at spam: Big Brother is watching

[photopress:videosurveillance.jpg,full,alignright]Interesting if true. According to Jing Hua Shi Bao, a Beijing local newspaper, there will be monitor cameras in all of the Internet cafes in the coming year.

The idea is the Internet cafe management and surveillance will slow down the spread of ‘unhealthy’ information and spam emails. The monitors will also be used to implement the Internet laws and regulations.

The video cameras will enable the Beijing Bureau of Public Security to monitor all of the Internet Cafes in Beijing in real time. The newspaper said the information gathered by the video cameras will also be used for other government bureaus.
