Subsidy plan for electronic cars

Miao Wei, vice-minister of Industry and Information Technology and deputy to the National People’s Congress said the details of a plan to subsidize private purchases of electronic motor cars will be released after the "two conferences." This according to Beijing Youth Daily.

Beijing residents will soon have the chance to purchase electronic cars for private use and receive subsidies of  around $7 to $8.8 thousand provided by central and local governments.
 
The subsidy plan is likely to be released this month and five cities will be chosen as pilot cities for the trial program.
 
China Daily reported that according to the report, the aim of the subsidy plan is to build an energy-efficient and low-emissions society.
