A female suicide bomber killed three and injured 15 in the southwestern province of Yunnan yesterday when she blew herself up in protest at the forced demolition of her home, South China Morning Post reported. The bomb was set off at about 9am in the demolition bureau of the local community office, killing the woman, two employees of the bureau and one unidentified person, Xinhua reported. Xinhua quoted a Kunming paper as saying the woman set off the bomb after she was asked to sign a house-relocation agreement. The Qiaojia township refused to admit the blast was caused by a suicide bomber; it vowed to find the perpetrator and said it had established a taskforce to lead the investigation. Two weeks ago, a male protestor at a forced demolition in Qiaojia was found dead after being taken to the township office the previous day. Residents blamed official brutality.
