Supplier for Samsung, Lenovo denies using child labour

A China based supplier for Samsung Electronics (005930.KRX) and Lenovo Group (0992.HKG) has come under fire from a U.S.-based activist group as it denies allegations of hiring child laborers, Reuters reported, citing a China Labour Watch Statement. Samsung Electronics also said it had found no children or students working on the Samsung production line at the Huizhou-based factory of supplier HEG Technology. New York-based China Labor Watch said it had found more than 10 children working at the HEG factory during an investigation that took place in July and August. The group said the probe found over 100 student workers who were not being paid overtime or a night shift subsidy.
