"Symbols of China", which was edited by a team headed by renowned Chinese writer Feng Jicai, seen here, contains thousands of pictures of so-called "cultural signs", including ancient symbols, historical heritages, customs, legends, literature and arts, all easy to understand for foreign readers.
China View reports the six-volume series books were published by Yilin Press and a German version is set to be released soon.
The publisher of that version will be Elsevier Publishing Group which may be looking for a prestige impact rather than massive sales.
China View also reported that English versions of former Chinese president Jiang Zemin’s (seen below) books were launched at Frankfurt.
One is titled On Development of China’s Information Technology Industry, and the other,

On Development of China’s Information Technology Industry collects 27 of Jiang’s published theses, reports, speeches and articles on the information technology (IT) industry between 1983 and 2008, as well as two appendixes, many of which were published for the first time.
The second book, Research on China’s Energy Problem, was edited by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and its Chinese version was published by the university’s publishing house in October 2008. Totaling over 50,000 Chinese characters, the book carries Jiang’s important theses and three lectures.
