Taiwan's Chen schedules US stops

In a move likely to incense Beijing, Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian will make two stopovers in the United States during a trip to visit with Central American and Caribbean allies starting next week, Reuters reported, citing Chen's office.
Chen will leave Taipei on September 20 for Guatemala where he will sign a free trade pact before heading to the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, among other countries. Only 26 states recognize Taiwan, most of them small and poor.
