Taiwan's New Party in Beijing

The most recent Taiwanese party to visit the Mainland following the April visits by Kuomintang Chairman Lien Chan and People First Party Chairman James Soong, the opposition New Party headed by Chairman Yok Mu-ming met with Jia Qinglin, a senior leader of the Communist Party of China. Yok, set to meet Hu tomorrow, said his party will unswervingly oppose "Taiwan independence", state media reported.
