The most striking aspect is the lobby which is marble — traditional — and wall mounted LCD displays — very modern. The screens show what is happening in both Chinese and English; a first in Xiamen.
The four lifts are totally new and show (for which we should show eternal gratitude) a new approach in China. Beside each floor button is a note to indicate if the floor is smoking or non-smoking.
There is an open air swimming pool with a poolside lounge.
