Technology focus for Bohai exploration

China is to spend Yn820m on promoting the use of high technology to develop energy resources in the Bohai Sea. The focus will be on technology for precision exploration, advanced drilling and enhanced recovery. According to Xinhua, the Bohai Sea has total reserves of 9.7bn tons of oil and gas, but its production last year was just 5.6m tons.
