Tesla Motors (TSLA.NASDAQ) is planning to cut 180 jobs in China, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing Chinese media reports. The company, which nearly doubled its global staff last year to 10,161 employees, didn’t provide details on the extent of the cuts, and declined to comment on local media reports that it would cut 30% of its workforce in China. The latest data suggest Tesla was off to a rocky start in 2015, as the company imported only 10 model S cars into China in January, down from more than 440 in December.
