Textile pact pleases manufacturers

Textile manufacturers are pleased with the last week's trade accord with the US, according to media reports. China exports of textiles to the US will be limited to 10%-17% a year from January 1 through to 2008 (when all restrictions are lifted under WTO rules), said Sun Huaibin, of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, reported the AFP. "Both the US and China have compromised in reaching this textile pact," he said.
