The Numbers: Missiles, PMI, Cleveland Cavaliers and deaths from natural disasters

Some China-related numbers that you may have missed:

1,000+: The approximate number of Chinese missiles currently targeting Taiwan, according to Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou

53.5: The purchasing managers’ index (PMI) for April, up from 52.4 in March. Although China’s PMI rose in March and April, many analysts expect manufacturing to slow in the coming months

88,928: The number of people killed in natural disasters in China last year, including the Sichuan earthquake
