The first of the promised three new Hyatt hotels to open will be the Hyatt Regency Wuxi in 2010. This hotel will have 350 rooms as part of a two tower mixed-use development. The hotel will have four restaurants and bars, a 2,600-square-foot ballroom, 10 meeting rooms, a spa and a fitness center. Our picture of a Hyatt Spa in Shanghai gives the general idea.In the same year, Hyatt plans to open the 350-room Hyatt Regency Xuzhou, which will occupy the upper levels of a 60-storey tower, one of five in Xuzhou’s Suning Plaza. A separate wing will have restaurants, bars, entertainment facilities and a shopping mall.
Travel Agent Central reports that finally the Grand Hyatt Nanjing is expected to debut in 2013. The 400-room hotel will be part of a mixed-use development, which will included luxury residences, a shopping mall, dining and entertainment. The hotel itself will feature a ballroom, meeting rooms, spa and fitness center thus being an ideal MICE – meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions or events. In that last case both phrases appear to be correct.
