Beijing police are searching for information on two men from Xinjiang province in west China after a Jeep crashed into a crowd of tourists at Tiananmen square on Monday, Financial Times reported. Two tourists and the three people in the car died and 38 people were injured. Police in Beijing sent the identity card numbers and names of the two men from Pishan and Shanshan counties in Xinjiang to city hotels and later posted them online. Eyewitness reports suggest that the crash was deliberate but the motives for such an attack are still unknown.
