Japan's largest motor manufacturer, Toyota, is to produce four new Toyota brand models in China through its joint venture with First Automotive Works (FAW). The Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser Prado models will start production later this year at the Tianjin Toyota Motor plant that has been producing the Vios compact since the end last year. The Corolla will enter production in the spring of 2004 with an annual output of 30,000 a year. The Crown, a luxury sedan model, is expected to start production in 2005 in a new plant to be built in Tianjin, with production estimated at 50,000 a year.
