Tourism revenue hopefully up 9% in 2009

China sceneryA report from the National Tourism Administration, says the annual tourism income had an annual increase of 9%.
In 2009, the domestic tourism market saw rapid growth; the market for inbound tourism recovered gradually; and the market for outbound tourism developed smoothly.
Meanwhile, large-scale investment in the tourism industry and huge profits generated by tourism-related industries last year further boosted social and economic development.
English People’s Daily said last year the domestic tourism market received a total of 1.9 billion domestic tourists, a rapid year-on-year growth of 11%. The domestic tourism revenue is expected to reach one trillion RMB, up 15%.

Generally speaking, the inbound tourism market remained rather low, but it gradually recovered thanks to the favorable conditions.
