China's second manned space flight will blast off in 2005 taking two men into space for a total of five days, state media reported. A spokesperson of the China Aerospace Science and Technology (CAST) said the flight of the Shenzhou VI spacecraft would make new breakthroughs in China's push to seal its place as one of the few space-faring nations. Giving little else away, he said the launch would take place "sometime next year". The announcement came a little more than a year after China's historic first manned space flight carried one astronaut into orbit for 21 hours.
