Shanghai Eastern Flight Training Company (SEFTC), the training subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines has bought Airbus A320 and A330 CAE 7000 Series full-flight simulators (FFS).
This brings the total FFS sales for CAE during fiscal year 2010 to 14.
Both simulators will be certified to Level D, the highest qualification for flight simulators. They are totally realistic to use and can put pilots under extreme stresses they would never meet in normal flight.
China Eastern Airlines operates over 80 international and regional routes and over 330 domestic routes which connect 110 cities in China and abroad.
CNNMoney.com Marketwire reports it trains more than 75,000 personnel a year – although plainly not all on simulators – in various stages of the operation.
