CITIC Securities revealed on Sunday that it couldn’t contact either its investment banking head Chen Jun or head of global investment banking Yan Jianlin, South China Morning Post reported, citing a statement to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. On Friday Caixin reported the duo had been detained and are either under investigation or assisting in an investigation by authorities. That would bring the total number of CITIC executive committee members detained to six out of eight, including company president Chen Boming. Nor is CITIC alone, as Guotai Junan International said in November it was unable to reach its chairman Yim Fung.
