US should help China on energy efficiency: Bush

President Bush said the US needs to help China and India become more energy efficient to ease the pressure on global oil supply and prices stateside. Rising demand for fuel in China and India caused oil prices to hit record highs in April. The US demand for oil is about 21 million barrels per day, compared with 7.4 million barrels per day projected this year for China, and 2.2 million barrels per day for India in 2003, according to the U.S. Energy Department.
