US President George W. Bush Tuesday reiterated US opposition to Taiwan's independence bid during a meeting with Sheng Huaren, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), who is on a visit to the US, state media reported. Bush also said he was looking forward to meeting with President Hu Jintao during their exchange of visits later this year.
