Vantage opens in China

[photopress:s_Best_Value_Inn.jpg,full,alignright]The Vantage Hospitality Group is the 12th largest hotel company worldwide. Founded in 1996, the company manages resources in hotel ownership, management, marketing, national brand affiliation and real estate. Vantage Hospitality Group launched the hotel brand Americas Best Value Inn. In February 2005, Vantage added the global central reservation system, GenaRes to its portfolio and continues to grow with its recent introduction of the upscale hotel chain The Lexington Collection.

Inc. magazine added Vantage Hospitality to its 2006 INC. 500 list of fastest-growing private companies.

Now China’s Best Value Inn (CBVI) is a new brand and it has just opened Best Value Inn North Bund hotel.

Lexington Collection, the other brand, has three hotels. CBVI has already signed hotels to open the end of 2007 or early 2008 in the cities of Shenyang, Shanghai, Wuhan, Ningbo, and Beijing. By the end of 2008 the plan is to have 40 hotels, and 200 by the end of 2010.

The newly-opened CBVI North Bund hotel is near the Bund, close to the crossroads of Nanjing road and North Si Chuan Road. The hotel has 64 rooms and free high-speed Internet. There is a 24-hour business center and restaurants. It is, perhaps, a three star hotel.

The illustration is interesting. Americas Best Value Inn is asking visitors to its website to post their funny holiday stories at the ‘Too Close For Comfort — Holiday Edition!’ web page. There are prizes to be won. It gives an idea of the tone and the target zone of the company.
