Vice Premier: China's recovery speeding up

China’s Vice Premier Li Keqiang told an international tax conference in Beijing that the country’s economic rebound has accelerated, the Wall Street Journal reported. Li said that China’s domestic economy was firmer after the release of third quarter data that showed China’s GDP had grown from 8.9% a year earlier, up from 7.9% in the second quarter and 6.1% in the first. He told tax experts that China would continue its active fiscal and moderately loose monetary policies, but committed to increasing the fleixibility and sustainability of Chinese economic policy. In his speech, Li also warned of the dangers of trade protectionism, and stressed that the foundations of the global economic recovery were still not firm.
