Vice Premier Wu meets DPRK leader

In what Chinese state media dubbed a "goodwill visit", one likely to have focused on advancing the six-party talks to end the nuclear standoff with North Korea, Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi met with the country's leader, Kim Jong Il, according to state-controlled Korean Central News Agency. The latest round of the talks ended in Beijing in September with North Korea agreeing to abandon its nuclear weapons in return for energy and security guarantees, but Pyongyang has since said it will not dispose of its atomic weapons until the US delivers light-water reactors for civilian use.
