Vietnamese rioters attack Chinese factories

Vietnamese rioters vandalized and burned allegedly Chinese-owned factories amid growing tensions over the South China Sea, South China Morning Post reported. But reports indicate protesters indiscriminately targeted foreign factories. Foreign ambassadors from all over South East Asia expressed concerns over the riots and some suggested they would evacuate their nationals. The riots followed a large protest by workers on Tuesday against China’s recent placement of an oil rig in disputed waters around the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea.
