Vogue comes to China

Conde Nast said it will launch a Chinese version of its Vogue title next September in cooperation with Shanghai-based China Pictorial. Vogue is currently published in British, Russian, German and Japanese editions outside the US, but compared to other publishers Conde Nast has been slow to enter China. Hearst launced its Chinese version of Cosmopolitan in 1998, and Harper's Bazaar two years later. Hachette's Elle has been in China since 1989.
