Wen warns US: don't blame us

China will act to tackle the trade imbalance with the United States when President Hu Jintao visits Washington, but will advise the US not to blame Beijing for its economic woes. The Financial Times reported comments made by Premier Wen Jiabao at a meeting of overseas business executives on Monday at which he said China would take measures on intellectual property rights. �But it is unfair for the US to scapegoat China for the US’s own structural economic problems,� Wen added. China is preparing for Hu’s trip by increasing bilateral talks in the hope easing tensions and avoiding protectionist measures. US senators Charles Schumer and Lindsey Graham, who wrote a bill that would impose a 27.5% tariff on Chinese imports unless the yuan is revalued, are meeting officials in Beijing.
