China is to allow global retailers to set up wholly owned purchasing
centers and make them eligible for tax rebates.
Many global companies
like Wal-Mart and Target already have JV purchasing centers in
China.
China exported US$125.2 billion of textiles, electronic parts,
appliances and other goods to the US last year. Most of the items are made at factories set
up by US companies.
