
It has just opened the five-star, 588-room Wyndham Xiamen in Xiamen, China, which is China’s first Wyndham-managed hotel. The brand’s second hotel, the 337-room Wyndham Baolian Hotel, is scheduled to open in 2011.
Now Wuhan. Developed by Wuhan Hongjing Real-Estate Development, the 25-story, four-star Wyndham Wuhan East Lake hotel is currently under construction in the new technology development zone of Wuhan’s Hongshan District. The hotel is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2011 and is most definitely a MICE hotel with more than 1,200 square-meters of meeting space.
Hotel Interactive reports that at the moment, Wyndham Hotel Group has six other hotels throughout Wuhan under its Ramada, Howard Johnson and Super 8 flags. The company is the largest U.S.-based hotel company in China with more than 183 hotels in major and secondary cities throughout the country.
