Amid continued reports of gloom and doom — many journalists seem to revel in them — it is a pleasant change to find that  Xiamen Port’s international container transhipment business maintained its good development trend in the first three quarters of this year. It clocked in 13,332 TEUs in October alone, a 103.6 % year-on-year increase.

By the end of October, container transhipment volume had hit 94,486
TEUs for the year-to-date, a 296.42% increase over the previous year.
