Xi’s economic adviser Liu He to visit US to ease rising trade tensions

Veteran of the current Chinese administration and key economic adviser to President Xi Jinping, Liu He, will visit the United States on February 27th to deescalate trade tensions between the two countries, according to Caixin Global.

Liu is expected to revive agreements made during President Trump’s visit to China last November regarding such issues as opening-up of the manufacturing sector and protection of intellectual property.

Liu is regarded by analysts of the region’s economy as a proponent of reform and has been central to China’s supply-side structural reform.
