The 2010 Xiamen International Boat Show opened Friday as part of the 2010 Xiamen Ocean Week. Over 140 yachts of well-known brands are on display and, as is always true with yachts, they cost serious money.
According to the organizing committee, the exhibition area on land is 20,000 square meters, up by one-third from last year’s, and the exhibition area on water is also the same size.
Apart from yachts and boats, exhibit items also include various accessories such as power motors, telecom navigation systems, lifesaving products and materials for yachts and boat building.
What’s On Xiamen reports the yacht show carries the theme "Let yachts step into the public’s daily life." It is jointly hosted by the China Association of National Shipbuilding Industry and the Xiamen Municipal Government.
