U.K.'s biggest insurer, Aviva Plc, said it plans to double the number of licenses it has to operate in Chinese cities to 10 before 2010, Aviva CEO Richard Harvey told Bloomberg. Aviva, called CGNU until it was rebranded as Aviva in 2002, competes with companies like U.K.'s Prudential Plc, the only foreign life insurer with licenses in seven Chinese cities.
