Bush to visit China

US President George Bush will visit China following the APEC summit in South Korea on November 18-19 at Hu Jintao's invitation, it has been announced. The President, who will also visit Japan as part of his trip, is likely to take part in discussions with Chinese officials on topics including North Korea's nuclear weapons programs and America's growing trade deficit with China. Donald Rumsfeld departed Monday for his first trip to China as US Defense Secretary. He will take part in talks on military relations amid growing concerns in Washington about Beijing's build up of arms.
