CEA taps Hachette China for uniforms

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) will replace the uniforms of its first-class service personnel, the design of which has been in use for the last 10 years.

CEA has tapped Hachette China – the parent company of Elle magazine – to get the world’s top designers to create uniforms which reflect ‘world-class hospitality with eastern charm.’

PR NewsWire reports that aided by Hachette China’s fashion expertise, CEA hopes to get top designers to effectively demonstrate an image of oriental glamour and elegance for the airline’s first-class service.

With Shanghai as its core hub, CEA’s airline network covers over 170 cities throughout the world and has more than 70 million passengers a year.

It is just about to join the SkyTeam Alliance, which will connect it, through partners, to six continents covering over 900 navigation point cities.
