China by Numbers: Coach, industrial output, property sales and Guangdong trade

Some China-related numbers that you may have missed:

17 – The number of stores luxury brand Coach currently has in China. The company announced that it now views China a key market and plans to expand.

8.3% – The rise in China’s industrial output. Beijing sees this as a sign that the stimulus package is having a positive effect.

8.2% – The increase in property sales by floor area year-on-year for the first quarter of 2009, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The figure dropped 0.3% in the first two months of 2009.

31.7% – The increase in Guangdong’s external trade figures from February to March. External trade last month totaled US$44.79 billion.
