China Economic Review was recognized at the Society of Publishers in Asia 2010 Awards for Editorial Excellence last night. The magazine received an honorable mention in the excellence in special coverage category for the November 2009 special issue on China’s environmental challenges.
The judges said the following about our entry:
Significant topic, well designed. Good presentation, great topic, balanced treatment. Comprehensive coverage, both in reportage as well as in opinion. A thoroughly researched, well-written section full of statistics that the authors were able to put into perspective. Opinion pieces also were well grounded in facts and were persuasive in their arguments
This is the third time China Economic Review has been honored by the Society of Publishers in Asia. Our cover story story on innovation in China won the excellence in explanatory reporting category in 2007, while our cover story on the development of the country’s bond market received an honorable mention for excellence in business reporting in 2008.
